Daycare services are provided to children aged 0-8 years at our early childhood centres

The centres stem from our experience in preschool education and have evolved into some of the most developed early childhood centres in the country. Children attending the centres are exposed to stimulating activities at nursery and preschool, while follow-up sessions (‘accompagnement’ programmes) are carried out with children who have moved on from our pre-schools to primary school. The communities of Camp Creole and Canot are currently the main beneficiaries of these projects, while Les Mirabelles nursery at Grand Bay, Les Mirabelles Flacq, Early Childhood centre at La Valette and Early Childhood Centre at Women Prison provide also early childhood services to deprived families.

In keeping with our aim of “Empowerment for all, self-sufficiency for all”, our provision of daycare services for infants and pre-school children enables parents to seek paid daytime employment through which they can earn enough to provide for their families, while secure in the knowledge their children are in a safe and nurturing environment.
